BPM Live Space x DIGIWAY / Timeless BPM 無盡之節奏

Timeless BPM「無盡之節奏」is a large-scale commissioned artwork created for BPM Live Space in Chengdu, commissioned by IMC Group Asia.

The project explores the intersection between ancient narratives and contemporary music culture. After previously drawing inspiration from one of China’s Four Great Classical Novels in earlier work, this project marks a return to Romance of the Three Kingdoms (三國演義) as its thematic foundation.

These were stories I never read growing up. This project gave me the opportunity to slow down, study the characters, their values, and their conflicts, and reinterpret them through the language of rhythm, performance, and live energy.

Set as a concert scene, historical figures are reimagined as performers, musicians, and audiences. Loyalty, strategy, chaos, control, and power are translated into tempo, sound, and physical presence on stage. Rather than illustrating history, the artwork creates a dialogue between eras, where past and present coexist without hierarchy.

Timeless BPM「無盡之節奏」captures a live moment frozen in time — a space where stories continue to echo long after the sound fades.
