Kamelulu and the Lost Shine (2026)
Kamelulu notices that his colors no longer behave the way they used to. What once came naturally no longer works as he is used to.
As the garden party draws closer, he begins to wonder what is happening to him. Through encounters with strange, kind, and wise figures, Kamelulu learns to understand what he has lost and how his shine can return.
Kamelulu and the Lost Shine is presented as part of the Digiway character universe, combining illustration, storytelling, and animation into a single visual experience. The project brings the pages of the book to life through motion and sound, transforming the story into a fully animated short film.
Story, illustrations and animation are created by Way Fung, while the narration is voiced by his daughter Ayla. This collaboration adds a sincere and personal layer to the project, capturing a shared moment between creator and child without losing its universal message about confidence, emotions, and self-acceptance.
The full Dutch animation will premiere on YouTube on Sunday, 8 February at 11:00 (CET). An English version is currently in development. Thank you for your patience.
