Digiway Design is the creative studio of Way Fung, a Netherlands-based visual artist and storyteller with roots in Hong Kong and a background in Architectural Engineering. His work combines structural precision with imaginative world-building, resulting in highly detailed visual universes that bridge tradition, pop culture and contemporary narratives.

Way Fung first gained recognition through geometric sneaker artworks constructed entirely from straight lines and polygonal form`s. This technical foundation later evolved into his signature approach: large-scale narrative compositions filled with characters, hidden stories, and cultural references.

 

At the core of his artistic journey stands The Cháo Dynasty, an ever-expanding visual universe inspired by the classical Chinese masterpiece “Along the River During the Qingming Festival” (清明上河圖). Similar to the historical scroll, The Cháo Dynasty is built upon intricate scenes, layered storytelling, and countless micro-details, often extending even further in density and contemporary interpretation. The series continues to grow over time, with each new volume seamlessly connecting to the previous ones, forming an expanding panoramic world where history, humor, modern society and fantasy coexist.

 

Throughout his career, Way Fung has collaborated with international brands including Maybach, Nike, Wilson, Johnnie Walker, NBA, Foot Locker, Vogue, HeyTea and Vans. His work has also been featured on CCTV through a cultural collaboration with Rong Bao Zhai (榮寶齋), one of China’s most prestigious art institutions.

 

In 2023, he introduced Kamelulu, an original character IP that marked the beginning of a new creative chapter. Inspired by his role as a father, this universe explores themes of identity, confidence, and imagination through children’s storytelling, illustration, and animation. This direction reflects his ambition to create work that resonates across generations, from monumental cultural artworks to intimate stories designed for his own children.
